Dad is a reliable and loyal friend. Dad is protection and support. Dad is a person next to whom you always feel like a child and at the same time it does not matter how old you really are. Not always words are enough to express their love, and then a card made by oneself can come to help. In our master class, we show how to stage-by-stage a beautiful postcard to the Pope on his birthday with his own hands.
Postcard to dad in scrapbooking technique - master class
Necessary tools and materials:
- colored cardboard;
- a sheet of double-sided scrap paper;
- Scissors, ruler, stationery knife;
- adhesive, double-sided adhesive tape;
- several small leaves of colored paper and colored cardboard;
- pictures for decoration;
- pen for drawing, color pencil;
- brads, ink pad (optional).
In creating a postcard for your dad, you should not abuse it with color - one basic and one auxiliary color is sufficient, but it will be quite appropriate to add a little childish immediacy, especially if you are making a postcard on behalf of your child.
Progress:
- Cut the paper and cardboard into the parts of the right size. I chose paper striped, so the inner part itself is suitable for writing greetings (even with an unsure child's hand).
- Using a stamping pad, we shade the paper and draw an imitation of the sewing line with a pen for drawing, and then we glue the paper to the base.
- Of course, you can print an inscription for a postcard in advance, but it seemed to me symbolic to make a signature by hand, so with the help of a color pencil I added some color to the watercolor paper and pasted it onto the substrate, giving the paper and cardboard the shape of a flag.
- Having chosen the shape of the checkbox, I decided to stop on it, so I made three more pieces of different size - they differ in pattern, but the tone remains the same.
- Before you glue all the parts, arrange them in the desired order, while trying to allocate space for the inscription, pushing it away from other ornaments.
- The last step is to add the brads and you can stick the paper to the base.

The card is designed to talk about feelings and share emotions, and I think even the most serious dad will be touched by such a sweet spiritual impulse. It can become either an independent gift or an addition.
