Perine

National parks and reserves are a special pride of Madagascar . After all, it is in protected areas that rare and endangered species of flora and fauna can be preserved. The interest of tourists to the natural resources of the island is huge, especially attracts visitors to Madagascar Perine National Park.

Acquaintance with nature reserve Perine

The Perine reserve is one of the parts of the Andasibe National Park , located on the eastern side of the island. More official name is the reserve of Analamazotra. But due to the complexity of the pronunciation and the fact that the evergreen tropical forest of Perine is protected on this territory, a simpler spoken name was established behind the reserve.

The area of Perine Park compared to other reserves in Madagascar is relatively small - only 810 hectares. The tropical forests of the park stretch on low gentle hills, sometimes among them you can meet small fresh lakes.

What to see in the reserve Perine?

Park Perine is very beautiful: exotic nature, bright birds and unusual inhabitants annually attract a huge number of tourists. The greatest value of local rain forests is the Indri lemur - the largest in the world. There is even an ancient legend, according to which he became the progenitor of man. In Perine lives the most numerous population of these beautiful animals.

In addition to Indri, here you can find bamboo gray, rascals, dwarfish, red mouse, brown, woolly lemurs and some other species. Here live 50 species of chameleons, from huge to smallest on the planet. In the reserve Perine grow bizarre thickets of tree ferns and about 800 species of orchids.

Next to the reserve is an ethnographic village, in which tourists are introduced to the traditions, culture and customs of the local people - the Malagasy. A whole network of walking paths is laid along the territory of Perine Park.
