The second - a pretty and romantic name - the bridge received thanks to the thousands of lamps that illuminate it at night with white, red and green light. About Rainbow Bridge in Japan, a legend is built, according to which the building serves as a meeting place for dead pets and their owners.

The rainbow bridge connects the business district of Tokyo Minato-ku with the island Odaiba artificially created in the 19th century. The project became possible thanks to the efforts of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. The construction of the bridge took 5 years, its official opening took place in August 1993.

The rainbow bridge in Tokyo is a suspended structure consisting of two tiers. On the first, cars are moving along the Tokyo Prefectural 482 and Yurikamome routes. The second tier serves the movement of subway cars along the route Shuto Expressway's Daiba. The total length of the Rainbow Bridge in Japan is 918 m, the height of the structure along with the towers is 126 m.

The bridge is equipped with sidewalks for pedestrians, walkways and observation platforms. The latter have their own schedule of work: in the summer - from 9:00 to 21:00, in the winter - from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. Walking along the bridge takes about 30 minutes. It is forbidden to ride bicycles, but it can be rolled nearby. From the north side of the Rainbow Bridge you can see the Tokyo Tower and the inner harbor, on the south side, in addition to the harbor, in good weather you can see Mount Fuji.
