Pumpkin porridge baked in the oven

With the onset of cold weather, recipes of dishes with pumpkin participation become especially topical. We offer an original way of using the fruit and recommend to cook in it a delicious and mouth-watering cereal by baking the food in the oven.

Millet porridge in a pumpkin, baked in the oven - recipe

Choose for the preparation of medium-sized dishes of sweet sugar varieties. Fruit is washed well, dried and cut off the top in the form of a "lid". We extract all seeds with accompanying pulp and clean all fibers.

Millet the rump thoroughly and pour for five minutes with steep boiling water. After a while, we drain the water, rinse the croup again, after which we put the pumpkins inside. The volume of millet should be such that it is almost half full. To the millet, add washed raisins, add nuts, ground cinnamon or vanilla, and throw a pinch of salt and brown sugar. Fill the ingredients with milk and mix with a spoon. From the top we lay out slices of butter, we cover the pumpkin with a "lid" and place it on a baking tray, into which we pour a little water.

The oven must be warmed up to 185 degrees beforehand, after which you can send a baking tray with a pumpkin with porridge. Prepare the dish will be from one and a half to two and a half hours, depending on the variety and density of the pumpkin itself and the desired degree of its final softness. During the cooking process we control the presence of water in the pan.

Before serving, pour the porridge in the pumpkin with liquid honey.

Sweet rice porridge in a pumpkin, baked in the oven with dried fruits

Preparing the preparation of the food, prepare the pumpkin, as in the previous case, cutting off the top and scraping the insides. We put inside washed and mixed with dried fruits, nuts and chopped apples rice, do not forget to pour the stuffing a little and sweeten with sugar. Fill the ingredients with milk, add slices of butter, cover the pumpkin with trimmed top and send it to bake on a baking sheet with water in a preheated oven to 185 degrees.

You can also wrap the fruit with foil. So the pumpkin will turn out even juicier and more saturated. The cooking time, as in the previous case, depends on the variety of the vegetable, the desired result and the possibilities of the oven, but in any case it will take at least one and a half hours.

Buckwheat porridge with meat in pumpkin, baked in oven

For a unsweetened version of such a dish, prepare the pumpkin, taking into account the recommendations described above and scrape out a little flesh from inside. We oil the fruit from the inside and out and send it to the oven for about an hour, pouring a little water into the baking tray. Boil until ready buckwheat porridge in a classic way, and cut the meat into small pieces and brown on a hot frying pan with vegetable oil, without forgetting to salt and pepper it. To the ruddy meat we add pieces of pumpkin pulp and a chopped onion. Fry the ingredients until the softness of the vegetables, then combine with buckwheat, add salt to taste and pepper, and then fill the resulting mass of pumpkin. We put inside the fillings the washed garlic teeth, without cleaning, pour boiling water, lay out the pieces of oil and cover the pumpkin with a "lid".

It remains only to wait for the baking of the vegetable in the oven heated to 185 degrees. This will take about an hour.
