What should be guided when writing an application for refusal of vaccination?
In the Russian Federation, Federal Law No. 157 "On the immunization of infectious diseases" states that citizens residing in Russia have the right to refuse vaccinations (Article 5), and any kind of vaccination to minors can be carried out only with the consent of their parents (Article No. eleven).
However, despite this, sometimes the vaccination is carried out without notification to the mother in a maternity hospital. Therefore, every mother who wants her baby not to be vaccinated, even before entering the maternity home, should take care of this by writing a refusal and pasting it into the exchange card.
The basis for the refusal of vaccinations in Ukraine is the Law of 06.04.2000, No. 1645-III (also No. 1645-14) "On the Zahist of the Population of the Infectious Crops". According to him, preventive vaccination is compulsory, but for children under 15 years of age it can only be carried out with the consent of their parents.
How to avoid vaccination of a child?
Refusal of vaccinations can be made in the hospital. However, it should be remembered that it should be made exclusively in writing, and in 2 copies. He is made up for the head physician of the medical institution where the child was born. For greater confidence, it is not superfluous to duplicate the failure on the card. The second copy of the application the future mother must have with her to provide it in the postpartum department.
Before writing a refusal of vaccination, the expectant mother should think carefully about the consequences. In order to avoid vaccination, it will be better if the father of the child expresses his disagreement.
