Master class: how to make reusable diapers with your own hands
The advantages of reusable diapers have been appreciated by many mothers for a long time. Firstly, it is economy, secondly, it is a clean dry baby ass without diaper ruptures, and thirdly, it is a real help at the stage of potty training. Against the background of the above advantages, the time and effort spent on sewing a diaper will seem to you a mere trifle. So let's prepare the necessary materials and immediately start working:
- So, to sew a reusable diaper with your own hands, we will need: a pattern, an oilcloth (outer layer), a soft natural fabric (inner layer), an elastic band, Velcro fasteners, threads, scissors and other sewing accessories.
- Now that everything is ready, let's go directly to the manufacturing process. We take the fabric (oil and natural) fold in half, apply a pattern and cut out.
- Then we sew a small oilcloth overlay to the inner layer.
- Further on the front part of the outer layer we sew a velcro, and on the back "ears" - the reciprocal parts.
- After that, we sew the elastic bands on the sides of the diaper so that it fits snugly against the legs and does not let the liquid pass. Also sew the elastic band along the edge of the back of the inner layer.
- Now we sew the details, turn them around, and make the machine line along the perimeter.
- Next, we make a liner: take a terry towel, cut out the rectangle, fold it several times and put it in our diaper. By the way, making liners in reusable diapers with your own hands, you can use other materials, for example gauze, microfiber, cotton cloth.
