Robert De Niro was unable to defend the scandalous film "Vaccination"

The other day, the focus was on the picture "Vaccination" ("Vaxxed"), which was offered for viewing at the annual Tribeca film festival. This documentary tells us that there is a correlation between the vaccination of children and the fact that after vaccination some babies become autistic. However, not all doctors agree with the opinion of the director of the picture, and "Vaccination" fell into the category of controversial.

Robert De Niro wanted the world to see this film

Due to the fact that the authenticity of the information in the film has not been fully proved yet, the Board of Directors of the festival decided to refrain from showing this picture. However, one of the founder of Tribeca, American actor Robert De Niro, who has personal reasons for the world to know as much as possible about autism, stood up for the protection of "Vaccination". "My son is growing up with this disease in my family. Eliot is now 18, and I know how difficult it is when you have a child autistic. Therefore, I insist that all the nuances associated with the cause of autism should be openly considered. The society must decide for itself whether to take into account the facts stated in the picture, or not. I'm not against vaccination, but parents who expose children to this procedure should be aware of the possible consequences after it, "the actor said.

Such precedent for all 15 years of existence of the film festival was not. Robert never allowed himself to insist on showing a picture, however, as he never told about the difficulties of raising a child with features.

However, the Board of Directors of the festival still did not satisfy his request. A few hours after the decision, the actor made a short statement that the film will not be shown on the Tribeca. "I hoped that this picture would push society to a dialogue on the topic of autism, but after analyzing all the pros and cons with the film festival team, and also having conferred with representatives of the scientific world, I realized that there will be no dialogue. There are a lot of controversial points in the film and it's because of them that we will not show this picture, "Robert De Niro said.
