Cholesterol - a natural fatty alcohol, which in small amounts should be present in any organism. Excess blood cholesterol levels are fraught with serious health problems. The action of the drug Roxer
The main active substance of roxera is rosuvastine. In addition to it, the composition of the drug includes such components:
- crospovidone;
- magnesium stearate;
- lactose;
- colloidal silicon dioxide;
- microcrystalline cellulose.
This hypolipidemic drug acts in the liver, where the formation of lipoproteins - the substances from which cholesterol is formed. Beginning to act, the Roxer preparation significantly increases the number of hepatic receptors. Because of this, the synthesis of lipoproteins is inhibited. Together with the decrease in the amount of LDL in the body, the level of cholesterol also decreases.
Acts Roxer fairly quickly, but not instantly. The first positive changes can be noticed a few days after the start of treatment, but the maximum possible therapeutic effect occurs only after three to four weeks.
Indications for the use of Roxer tablets
The main indications for the use of Rockers look like this:
- primary hypercholesterolemia (including family heterozygous hypercholesterolemia);
- family homozygous hypercholesterolemia;
- atherosclerosis (to slow the progression of the disease);
- prevention of diseases of the cardiovascular system (heart attack, stroke, arterial revascularization);
- cardiac ischemia;
- arterial hypertension;
- low plasma concentration of low density lipoproteins.

How to take Roxer?
Take the pills you need inside, without chopping and chewing before that. The time of taking the medicine does not matter. It is advisable to drink a tablet with a sufficient amount of water.
For each patient, the dose and duration of the course of treatment is determined on an individual basis. Some patients, having achieved a positive result, may stop taking Roxera, while others need to drink the drug throughout life for preventive purposes.
Initiate treatment most often with minimal doses - 10 mg once a day. In some cases, the amount of the drug can be increased to 20 mg. But it is desirable to do this not earlier than a month after the start of treatment. In exceptional cases - to patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia - the dose of Roxer increases to 40 mg per day.
Contraindications for use
Like any other medicine, Roxer has some contraindications to the application:
