Siamese breed of cats

In ancient times, Thailand was called Siam. That's why one of the most famous breeds of cats, which originated there about six hundred years ago, is called Siamese. This animal has a flexible tubular body, a wedge-shaped head, beautiful almond eyes, which have a distinctive bright blue color. Their hair is short, the undercoat is missing. The tail is long, beautiful and delicate. Kittens are born white, but after a few days they begin to darken.

Now there are three main varieties of Siamese cats - traditional Siamese (Thai), classical, modern. They differ slightly in weight, physique and shape of the head. But all of them have one common feature - magical sapphire eyes. In addition, there are as many as 18 varieties of acromelanic coat color in Siamese cats (the main color is different from the color of the muzzle, ears, legs and tail). There are animals with a corpus of ivory, snow-white, blue, apricot, cream and with another interesting shade of wool.
