But what about such accessories in the cold season as gloves and gloves? If you prefer to knit children's gloves or mittens for your baby yourself, then nothing but threads, spokes and free time will not be needed. It's another matter if you have to buy these accessories. But how correctly to determine the size of children's gloves? After all, it is different from adult sizes . Especially, if there is no opportunity to try them on (for example, when buying in an online store or ordering on foreign websites).

Differences in standards

It should be noted right away that there is no single standard regarding the size of children's gloves. So, in the territory of the post-Soviet countries the size of these accessories for children is determined by the palm of the hand in centimeters. In this case, the thumb of the hand is not taken into account.

That is, if you measured the baby's palm and got a value equal to, for example, 10 centimeters on the measuring tape, then the corresponding glove size will be 10. Incidentally, in the domestic table of sizes of children's gloves this size corresponds to the age of up to six months.

As for the international scale of children's sizes, you can find out the size of gloves both from tables that are always available on the websites of foreign intet-shops, and simply focusing on the age of the baby. So, for a two- or three-year-old child, you should buy gloves of the second size, for a preschooler four or six years - the third.

For the convenience of consumers, most manufacturers of these children's accessories offer dimensional tables. In order not to make a mistake in the choice, it is worthwhile to familiarize yourself with the table that is offered by a particular manufacturer.
