Teenage crime

Adolescence is a turning point in the development of each individual. The desire to prove their independence and adulthood, juvenile maximalism pushes the teenager to deviant acts, including crimes. The problem of juvenile delinquency is one of the most urgent in modern society, since it takes on alarming proportions.

Causes of juvenile delinquency

At the age of adolescence, people tend to get rid of custody and control by adults and feel their adulthood. Adolescents demonstrate it by imitating external manifestations - smoking, drinking alcohol, following fashion and choosing non-child ways of leisure.

The reasons for committing crimes lie in the psychological characteristics of a teenager who wants to feel his worth and value. And if he is not successful in sport, study or social life, or grows up in an unfavorable family, the teen acquaints himself with street life, where he finds communication with the same "rejected". There dominates its own, special psychology, which pushes to teenage crime. Among them there are their own laws, according to which the strongest survive, and opposition to hostile society is a style of life.

Many juvenile delinquents committed a crime out of curiosity and mischief, in a state of alcoholic or narcotic intoxication, to establish themselves in the eyes of their peers, to show their strength and superiority. Someone pushed the authority and example of the eldest of the underworld to misconduct. But teenagers are very impressionable and easily fall under bad influence. Over time, selfish motives, envy and profit are put forward, and the crime becomes planned. Adolescents feel their impunity, and this pushes them to new misconduct. Unfortunately, over time the situation only worsens. And the reasons for the growth of juvenile delinquency are the deterioration of the economic situation, the implantation of negative heroism in the media, the cruelty in computer games and the desire for "easy" profit.

Prevention of juvenile delinquency

Preventive measures should be carried out at the state level. It is necessary to protect the younger generation from the harmful influence of the media and computer games, which promotes violence, cruelty, impunity, and the use of narcotic substances. Therefore, it is important to create as many sports sections and clubs as possible, so that the adolescents are engaged in useful work, and not left to themselves.

In addition, it is necessary to create jobs for minors. For returnees from places of detention should be carried out rehabilitation in the community for the prevention of relapse.

To prevent crime among adolescents, it is necessary to expand the network of social protection institutions that offer psychological assistance.

And of course, it is important to promote human values, the authority of the family and social justice in an effective way.
