May 20 in Paris, the awarding of people who distinguished themselves by their activities to preserve the memory of World War II, the highest award of France - the Order of the Legion of Honor. This time, the legendary Hollywood actor Tom Hanks got the badge, and his wife Rita Wilson, son Truman and daughter Elizabeth came to support him.
The awarding ceremony was short-lived
A lot of guests came to the solemn event to the Palace of the Legion of Honor. In addition to the family came to congratulate the actor and Jane D. Hartley, the US ambassador in France.
The ceremony itself did not last long, but even during this time, photographers managed to make a lot of interesting pictures. Rita Wilson appeared at the ceremony in a tight satin dress with lace black decor. The image was complemented by a white coat, black shoes, boats and the same color clutch. Elizabeth boasted of a midi-length dress with a lush skirt and lace trim.
After an actor pinned the Order of the Legion of Honor, a small official photo session took place, on which the joyful Tom posed with Jane D. Hartley, General Jean-Louis Jorgelain, Grand Chancellor of the Order, and with members of the Legion of Honor. As soon as the work on the photos was finished, Tom said a few words to the press: "I received this award not only because of my roles in the movies, but also the support of my wife who was always there. Without it, these jobs simply were not there. Rita, thank you very much! ", Said Tom. After the official ceremony, Hanks and his family organized a tour of the most interesting places in Paris. They saw the Louvre, the Tuileries garden, the Place de la Concorde and much more.
