Uvek Kuvelera

Kuveler's womb is a complex of symptoms that is dangerous for a pregnant woman's life, associated with the development of bleeding as a result of weakening of the placenta and the ingress of blood into the uterine musculature.

This type of pathology occurs with a frequency of 0.5-1.5%.

Uterus Kuvelera is also called utero-placental apoplexy. This syndrome was first described by AS Couvelaire, a French gynecologist, in 1912. Hence the name.

Symptoms of Kuveler's syndrome

This syndrome manifests itself with rapidly growing pains in the lumbar region, which are similar to attempts, anxiety, nausea, slight discharge from the vagina bloody nature.

This condition is also characterized by sharp and strong movements of the fetus, a change in the quality of the heartbeats, over time they lose their rhythm and are hardly audible. It is impossible to feel the fetus in the uterus.

In addition, there is a toxic damage to the vascular system, which results in hemorrhages in the muscles of the uterus, the genitals and beyond.

In connection with the high level of danger of development of hypovolemic shock, atonic bleeding, sepsis, the situation of utero-placental apoplexy has an unfavorable prognosis, as it threatens the life of a woman. Therefore, it requires immediate surgical delivery.

Causes of premature placental abruption

As a rule, this syndrome develops in cases of late gestosis of pregnant women, especially in the presence of pyelonephritis, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, acute viral infections during pregnancy, liver and heart diseases.

During childbirth, Kuveler's syndrome develops with discordant labor, a short umbilical cord, a stomach injury, a late burst of the bladder, a rapid water outflow in case of polyhydramnios, chronic fetoplacental insufficiency , and the location of the placenta on the fibromatous nodes.

Prevention of the development of this syndrome reduces to the timely treatment of pregnant women with somatic diseases and late gestosis; as well as careful attitude to the process of giving birth.
