Whitening pencil for teeth

All of us are pleased to look at the snow-white smiles of the stars from the TV screen. Surely, in this case many people think that it would be good to have the same teeth. But here a contradictory thought emerges that it is probably incredibly expensive to maintain the teeth in this state.

However, times change, and today the average person can afford to level and whiten the teeth from a specialist. But here there is a second question, how to ensure whiteness in the future, because no one wants to visit the dentist too often. Undoubtedly, there are folk methods of bleaching at home, but their effectiveness is highly questionable.

Tooth whitening pencil

One of the reliable methods of teeth whitening is a whitening toothpick. It is a gel substance that consists of substances harmless to the body, such as water, glycerin, ammonium carbonate and others. Sometimes manufacturers add flavor to the composition for a refreshing effect. The gel is based on hydrogen peroxide, which is already known for many of its clarifying properties.

The principle of the whitening toothpaste

The principle of the pencil for teeth whitening is quite simple. Under the influence of chemical reactions, hydrogen peroxide decomposes and releases active oxygen. This oxygen penetrates deeply into the tissues of the tooth enamel and brightens it. It can be said that this procedure is almost identical with tooth whitening in the dentist.

How to use a whitening pencil?

In order to correctly and safely use a dental pencil for bleaching, you must follow certain rules:

  1. Before the first use of the pencil as a method of whitening, it is best to consult with the dentist about how this procedure is relevant for your teeth.
  2. The procedure is usually carried out twice a day, in the morning and in the evening for three weeks.
  3. Before the procedure, it is better to brush your teeth with toothpaste.
  4. The gel should be applied in accordance with the instructions on the packaging. Usually on a pencil there is a brush on which at pressing of the button some gel is allocated. It is applied in a thin layer on the surface of the teeth.
  5. After application, the gel should be allowed to dry without wiping it with tongue or lips, and without flushing with water for 30 minutes.

In order for the effect to be maximum, it is necessary to abandon cigarettes and highly coloring products, such as berries and fruits, juices, coffee, carbonated beverages, for the time of using the pencil.

You should know that the pencil sometimes gives excessive sensitivity to the teeth, which can be frustrating. However, this effect only lasts a few hours after the application of the gel.
