A frame made of newspaper tubes

Even the most original photo will look more spectacular if you clothe it in an unusual frame. And you can make it from almost any material. One of them is old newspapers and magazines. If weaving frames from newspapers (newspaper tubes) seems to you a difficult and tedious task, that is, there are other ways of decorating. Do you want to make a frame for your picture or a photo of yourself? Then stock up with scissors and glue, and get down!

We will need:

  1. Before you make a frame from the newspaper, you need to prepare a few dozen tubes. To do this, divide the printed edition into separate sheets, and then wind, starting from the corner, each sheet on a wooden skewer.
  2. To fix the tube, lubricate the corner of the sheet with a small amount of glue. Wait until it dries, and carefully remove the skewer. Similarly, do a few dozen paper tubes. In our example, such tubes will require about 55 pieces.
  3. Check whether the length of the tubes is sufficient to cover the frame. If they are shorter than required, glue the two tubes together by inserting one into the other. Now you can start creating a frame from newspaper tubes. Apply a thin layer of glue to the frame-base. You can use the primer if the color of the substrate does not suit you.
  4. Lay the tubes parallel to each other so that there are no gaps between them. You can stick the tubes vertically, horizontally or oblique - it all depends on your imagination.
  5. Glue a rectangular frame of four tubes, the size of which corresponds to the photograph or picture that you plan to place. Carefully remove the ends of the tubes protruding beyond the edges of the frame, and the hack is ready!

Interesting ideas

To decorate the framework with tubes made from magazines or newspapers is not difficult. But this material gives space for creativity. You can cut the tubes into small pieces, and then glue them around the frame. It is not necessary to lay the pipes strictly vertically or horizontally. Asymmetric patterns, multi-colored corners and protruding borders of the frame-bases, the ends of the tubes also look rather original and attractive. And do not forget about the color scheme. Alternating the tubes according to the colors and playing on their contrast, you can create a bright frame that lifts the mood with one's own appearance.

From the newspaper tubes, you can create other crafts, for example, beautiful vases .
