Articulatory Exercises

The first training of the speech apparatus can be started from about 3 months after the birth of the child, simply by correctly pronouncing various sounds. The next stage, the so-called period of babbling, lasts up to 1.5 years. After the child has learned to speak, one can begin articulatory exercises that are necessary for training the muscles of the speech apparatus and their free mobility. To get the maximum effect, the pace of the exercises should be a little slow. Now many methods have been developed for the development of the speech apparatus, which help to cope with different problems.

The most common problem is with the pronunciation of this sound. To assist the child in correctly pronouncing the "P" sound, parents can use some exercises. These sessions will give the language flexibility, mobility and will learn how to correctly pronounce other sounds in the future.

The first stage consists of 3 games, the duration of the entire session is 10 minutes. The invented scenario depends on your imagination , here are examples:

  1. "Clinking". Imagine that you are riding a horse, what sounds do you hear? The game consists in repeating the sound that creates the hooves of the horse.
