How to grow a seed of a seed?

Reproduction of the reef is possible by cuttings, seeds and, in rare cases, by dividing the bush.

Cultivation of obrits from seeds is the simplest and most affordable way to acquire this magnificent plant. However, it should be noted, there are also negative sides - with seed reproduction the plant often loses its varietal qualities, and flowering begins only in the second year of plant growth.

Seed sowing should be done in September or May, and it is absolutely necessary to coat the soil with a sandy mixture. Sowing seeds is better for beds, otherwise, tender plant shoots can simply get lost in weeds. In addition, the obryt can be propagated indoors. For this, the seeds should be sown in vermiculite approximately two months before the last frost and placed under a plastic wrap. When the seedlings are ascending, the film must be removed and after the night frosts are completed, transplant the plant into the soil to a permanent place of growth.

Aubrieta - features of planting and care

On the whole, a relatively simple and hardy plant, but still worth familiar with the basic rules and features of its cultivation.

It's no secret that for any plant it is important to choose the correct landing site. As for the auricles, she loves a spacious territory where there are no weeds and plants that create shade. Since the oberite is not a fastidious plant, even the most unfruitful soil will suit it, but it is desirable with the addition of lime, chalk or ash.

It should be noted that the watering procedure deserves special attention. As a rule, the obrite needs irrigation only during hot and driest periods. Overabundance of moisture can provoke excessive growth of the foliage of the plant and, at the same time, its meager flowering.

Positive effect on the growth and condition of the plant is the periodic mulching of the soil with sand. But, excessive fertilization of the soil can adversely affect the growth of the obrite. Therefore, it is recommended to conduct no more than two additional fertilizing per year - the first time in the spring, before the flowering, and the second after the pruning of the plant.

In order to be able to repeatedly contemplate the luxurious flowering of this plant, experienced gardeners recommend immediately after the flowering period to cut the stems almost to the root. In addition, it is known that the oberi is able to start new shoots quite quickly, which after a while will please you with their bright colors again.

For winter, as a rule, the shelter does not require shelter, but in the case of a satisfied severe and prolonged winter, it is better to cover the plant with a small layer of dry leaves.

Among the diseases that affect the auricular, powdery mildew is most common, which can be managed by spraying with a solution of colloidal sulfur. And in the event that there is a massive defeat of bushes, the plant will have to be removed completely.

Aubieta is a plant for special connoisseurs of floriculture, as it, like any decorative plant, requires constant attention and care.
