Breast Enlargement

The increase in breast cancer in women (or gynecomastia ) is true and false.

Reasons for breast enlargement

A false increase is associated with excessive accumulation of the subcutaneous fat layer, and its cause is usually rapid weight gain or obesity. And the true increase is associated with the growth of the glandular tissue of the breast. It occurs in various diseases of the mammary glands and hormonal changes in the body of a woman. During pregnancy, the mammary glands of a woman increase physiologically due to the preparation of the gland tissue to produce milk. And the increase and pain of the mammary glands during palpation in different phases of the menstrual cycle or permanently is more a sign of the disease.

Increase and soreness of mammary glands

The enlargement of the mammary glands occurs both symmetrically and asymmetrically. If only one breast is enlarged, it is a sign of benign and malignant bulk processes in it. Bilateral enlargement and soreness of the glands is often due to mastopathy due to a violation of the hormonal background in a woman (an excess of estrogens and a shortage of progesterone).

If the thickening of the breast is accompanied by thickening of the breast, the nipple is deformed and the color of the gland's skin changes, the skin changes like a lemon peel and the regional lymph nodes around the gland are enlarged, and the prickly or spotting from the nipple appears as signs of a malignant tumor inside it.

The increase and soreness of the gland can be benign - with mastopathy, inflammation of the gland, the presence of a cyst inside it, as a result of a traumatic injury, after taking certain medications (eg, antidepressants).

To diagnose a benign and malignant process, in addition to examining a doctor, a mammogram is performed that helps diagnose the underlying diseases of the breast.
