How to make candles from propolis?

Unlike other medicinal forms, we usually buy candles, but do not make them at home, but if necessary we can make them ourselves. Candles are usually produced on the basis of a soft extract of propolis or its aqueous extract:

  1. In a water bath, melt 20 grams of cocoa butter, add 1 gram of soft propolis extract, carefully grind, then either pour into suitable forms (paper), or cool and cut into the desired shape. Such candles are most often used for prostatitis. In the absence of cocoa butter, some sources are advised to replace it with goat fat.
  2. Mix propolis extract and fat base in a ratio of 1: 4. As a fat base, as a rule, take a mixture of vaseline, beeswax and cocoa butter (or lanolin). In some cases, you can only use cocoa butter. The mixture is heated, grinded to a uniform state, then rolled out with a thin sausage and cut or melted in a water bath and poured into paper molds.
  3. Also at home, it is often used a variant of liquid candles with propolis. To do this, warm the almond or sea buckthorn oil in a water bath, mix it with a propolis extract in a ratio of 5: 1 and inject it with a small enema or syringe without a needle on which the chemist's catheter is worn.

Contraindications such drugs do not have, except for an individual allergic reaction to propolis or other components. In some cases, there may be slight burning in the area of administration of the suppository.
