May 9 in many countries, including Russia and Ukraine, is a very important holiday - the Victory Day of Soviet troops in the Great Patriotic War. In 1945, this day brought a new life to a huge number of people, free from the oppression of the fascists, so it will forever remain in the memory of veterans, participants in hostilities, as well as their numerous descendants.

Although the real participants of those terrible events are getting smaller every year, it is by no means impossible to forget about their exploit. Even small children, from the earliest age, should understand what Victory Day means for their grandparents, and what a feat the Soviet people accomplished over 70 years ago.

Parents and teachers today are doing everything possible to ensure that representatives of the younger generation continue to honor the memory of the Great Victory and never forget about the heroism of their ancestors. At present practically in every educational institution, sufficient attention is paid to the patriotic education of children, which includes, among other things, stories about the Great Patriotic War and the holding of events timed for the Victory Day.
