Cones on the gums of the child

When the mother discovers a cone on the gums, it can be said with certainty that this is a cyst, that is, an inflammatory subject. The cyst is a dense capsule consisting of infected tissues. In newborns, the cysts look like yellow-whitish spots on the ground, where in the future the teeth will erupt. They are called the pearls of Epstein. We hasten to reassure, these formations are benign. Often the cause of cones on the gums in a mother's child is seen in infection with Candida fungi or in stomatitis.

Treatment of cysts on the gums

Similar inflammation of the gums in the child, like the cones themselves, does not require treatment. In a few weeks you will not see cones in the mouth of the newborn. If the cause of cyst formation on the gums is infection or trauma, then the cones on the gum should be treated immediately to prevent suppuration.

If the case is started, then it is necessary to use the therapeutic method of treatment. The child will thoroughly clean the affected tooth canal, seal it for several months with a special paste. In extreme cases, a surgical method is used, consisting of resection of the root of the tooth, that is, the cyst cut together with a part of the dental root.

Prevention

To avoid such complications, take care of the oral cavity of the child from birth. Breastfeeding after feeding it is necessary to wipe the mouth with a sterile bandage moistened with a finger moistened with boiled water. One-year-old children can be given a tooth brush with a toothbrush without toothpaste. And three-year-olds are already ready for a real tooth brushing.

If you can not keep your oral health, the babies will be helped with gingivitis (3% hydrogen peroxide, diluted 1: 1 with water, furatsilin). But to postpone the visit to the doctor is not necessary in any case.
