In 2015, for the fifth time in Moscow , the International Festival "Circle of Light" was held. The organizer of this festival is the Moscow Department of Mass Media. The program of the festival is built on the demonstration of the achievements of masters of light from Russia, as well as acquaintance with the world trends in the field of lighting design and multimedia technologies.
On this grandiose show the masters of light in the field of 3D graphics and lighting designers from all over the world gathered. Nine evenings in a row, from September 26 to October 4, art artists from Russia and other countries represented light multimedia shows, created video mapping on the facades of famous Moscow buildings, cultural monuments.
Within the framework of this festival, a competition called ART VISION is held every year. On it can show their skills in video-mapping as fans of this art, and professionals. On the venues where the festival "Around the World" is held, master classes of famous Russian and world experts in the world are also held.
Festival "Circle of Light" - schedule
The opening of the festival "Circle of Light" was held on September 26 with a cycle of short stories from the light shown on the facades of buildings that are located on the Andreevsky Bridge and along Frunzenskaya embankment. Masterfully executed light mapping, that is, a light 3D projection lasting about one hour and an area of 17,000 square meters. m., was created by specialists of production studios from the UAE, Great Britain, France and Russia. All six short stories were linked together by a light composition presented on the Andreevsky Bridge.
As a gift to the audience of the festival on the building of the Bolshoi Theater, the works of the finalists of ART VIZH were shown.
The park of light for the period of the festival became the VDNKh grounds. Here you could see multimedia shows, visit the grand light show on the ice, listen to the performance of Dmitry Malikov synchronized with the video projection.
In the fairy-tale castle the facade of a children's shop located on Lubyanka turned. The children here waited for a show parade of funny toys and fantastic creatures.
The water surface of the Patriarch's Ponds was decorated with light installations from the "Master and Margarita". A special barge cruised along the Moscow River, from which the projections were displayed on the walls of the embankment.
And the opening of the festival "Circle of Light" and its closure were marked by vivid performances that took place on the Rowing Channel in Krylatskoye, where water, laser and pyrotechnic fireworks were shown to music of different times.
