Gender education of children of preschool age

Teachers often talk about the importance of gender education for preschool children. The problems of sex are becoming more urgent. In modern society, men are weak and indecisive, unable to fulfill the role of head of the family, so many women put this burden on their shoulders. They have become more aggressive, it is no longer surprising to see girls with a bottle or a cigarette, who swear at a mat or fight. And the guys became cowardly, unable to protect not only the woman, but themselves. The reason for this was the lack of attention to the gender education of children.

Why is the gender approach to upbringing so important?

Every child already 2-3 years old feels like a man of a certain sex. And the final consolidation of gender roles takes place by seven years. If during this period the child does not receive correct education, in his mind the differences between the sexes are erased. In the future, he will no longer be able to fulfill his role in society. From here more and more lazy effeminate men and aggressive rough women appear. Women do not want to have children, and men - to take responsibility for the family. Therefore, psychologists began to talk about the importance of gender education of preschool children.

This is not a new approach in pedagogy. Long since the children were brought up in accordance with their sex. From the age of three, the boys were under the supervision of tutors or uncles, and in peasant families they helped their father. The girls were brought up by mother, grandmother and nanny, teaching them needlework and housekeeping. But in the 20th century pedagogy began to pay more attention to the child's psychology and the features of its development, depending on age. Educational functions have been taken by educational institutions. And only women work there. And children began to bring up the same way, because it is so convenient. But in recent years, psychologists have proved what has long been known to our ancestors.

Differences between boys and girls

  1. They have different brains. Girls have more developed left hemisphere, because they start talking earlier and they are easier to perceive any information.
  2. They have different temperaments . Boys find it more difficult to calm down and learn how to express emotions correctly, they are more excitable and physically hardy.
  3. They have different motor skills. In boys, the hand is behind in development from girls somewhere for a year and a half, so it is more difficult for them to do fine work neatly.

Gender education in the pre-school

In modern preschool institutions there is no different approach to girls and boys. The development environment in the group is created by a woman, therefore it is more focused on girls. It is often difficult for educators to understand boys, their problems and the causes of disobedience. Therefore, the goal of gender education in kindergarten is to provide a different approach to girls and boys. The difficulty is that earlier they did not pay attention to this, and now there are almost no materials on this topic.

In what directions do we need a different approach?

  1. Training. Girls easily perceive information by ear, and boys because of the characteristics of brain activity more developed visual perception. They need to touch the subject and consider it to remember what it is.
  2. Music lessons also need to be built taking into account the difference in the psychological perception of boys and girls.
  3. A well-gendered approach is realized in the theatrical activity through the distribution of roles.
  4. More or less differences between the sexes were taken into account in physical education. Since boys are more mobile and hardy, it is important for them to give more complex exercises.
  5. It is best to organize gender education in gaming. The educator should create in the group separate game zones for boys with designers and typewriters and for girls with dolls and dishes. It is necessary to teach children to distribute roles in story-role games and to behave in accordance with their gender.
