How to make the tail of a mermaid?

And of course, the tails of mermaids can be used for swimming, both for adults and for children - the meaning is the same as that of fins.

How to sew the real tail of a mermaid with your own hands?

Everyone knows what the tail of a mermaid looks like - it's tightened into a leg fitting with scales, with one big fin at the end.

You will need:

• elastic, well stretching fabric for the tail of a mermaid, the color depends only on your imagination. If you want everything to look as realistic as possible, then choose iridescent blue-green fabric;
• Threads of the same shade as the material;
• underwear elastic;
• paper for the pattern;
• waterproof glue;
• shale, suitable for the size of the future mermaid;
• thin flexible plastic for the fin (you can buy in the building departments), or immediately ready fin (if you look good, you can find it in children's or sports departments).

Let's get to work:

1. We make a pattern of the tail of a mermaid. To do this, just put the one for whom this tail is sewn on paper. Let your model slightly divorce your legs to the side, just a little bit. This is done in order to have the opportunity, then to wiggle at the tail. Now draw a contour, from the waist to the foot. Before cutting, add a little for the allowances on the seams. Everything, the pattern is ready.
2. We put a pattern on the fabric and cut out your tail of the little mermaid.
3. In order for the tail to fit well on the figure, inside sewn rings from the underwear gum. For this we measure the hips, knees and calves, combined together. 7. Well, in principle, that's all. The tailpiece of the mermaid is almost ready. Now it remains only to decorate it. For decoration, you can use anything: beads, sequins, rhinestones, ribbons, lace - the list is huge.

You will need:

• wire;
• good resistant adhesive;
• pieces of tulle;
• hair spray;
• sequins, beads and other pretty little things.

Let's get to work:

1. On a file or a transparent cellophane bag, draw our scales with a marker, do not necessarily take the usual standard shape, show imagination.
2. We cut out wires on these blanks. We give it the shape of the planned scales, gluing with glue, or simply twisting.
3. We apply glue to the wire and apply tulle on it, so that it would be more interesting to do this from two sides.
4. With a soldering iron, or with a hot knitting needle or nail, we make holes in the curtains.
5. The edges of the curtains are covered with a thick layer of glue.
6. To be colorful, the contours can be traced with acrylic or gouache.
7. Spray the workpiece with a hair spray, sprinkle it with sequins.
8. Now it only remains to add a few beads and rhinestones. Everything, tailor ornaments are ready.
