The film formed on the surface of the shirt collects all the dirt and dust on itself. When washing, it instantly dissolves, the accumulation is washed away, and the tissue suffers less. Although there are negative consequences from this method. After this procedure, the air permeability of the material slightly deteriorates. It is not necessary to starch all underwear.

How to starch the collar of a shirt?

For our work, any kind of starch - potato, rice or corn - is suitable. The origin of raw materials does not play a big role. The main thing here is in what proportion you will fall asleep this powder. Depending on the concentration, you can produce a hard starch, medium or soft.

How to starch things with starch:

  1. For chiffon and cambric, the hard way will be inappropriate. You will only need a teaspoon of starch per 1 liter of water. First, it is dissolved in a glass of cold liquid, making sure that no lumps remain, and then the solution is poured into boiling water. All is thoroughly mixed, held for several minutes on low heat, until the liquid becomes transparent, and it is possible to work.
  2. The middle method. Take a tablespoon of starch per liter of liquid. This method is great for cotton.
  3. Starching the product on a rigid method is also easy. This method is used for cuffs and collars, using two tablespoons of starch per liter of water, sometimes adding 15 grams of borax to boiling water.

You should not have problems with how to starch the shirt. When the paste is ready, we lower the product into it for 15-20 minutes, squeeze it lightly and dry it on the shoulders. Smooth the cloth slightly damp. If you want to starch hard cuffs or collar, the rest of the material should not be lowered into the solution, impregnated with a paste, only the necessary parts.
