How to tie a snake crochet?

Soon 2013 will come, the symbol of which is a beautiful and wise snake. On the shelves of shops appear themed jewelry and knickknacks, which pledge to protect their owners throughout the coming year. We propose to create such a toy-amulet with our own hands, from a string of threads and a crochet hook.

Linking a snake crochet is very easy - even a beginner will cope with this task.

Snake crocheted: a master class

For crochet snake toys are needed:

• Acrylic threads for knitting of any color;
• a pair of white and red threads for snake's eyes;
• packing;
• wire;
• two black beads (for pupils);
• hook. The smaller the hook, the smaller the snake will be. In the master class, hook No. 1.5 is used.

Progress:

1. A chain of 14 loops is dialed, and is closed in a ring.

2. Knitting continues in a circle up to 25 rows. In the 25th row, 1 loop is reduced. The scheme for decreasing the loops is shown in the figure.
3. Then, the decrease is carried out in each row 15. After the 100th row, the decrease is carried out in each 10th row. The end of the tail is tied, subtracting one loop in each row.
4. The result is a long body with a tail.

To tie the head of a snake:

1. 4 air hinges are typed and are closed in a ring.
2. Loops are tied with columns without a crochet. Only 7 posts.
3. In the second row, from each loop, two bars are tied, in the end there should be 14 columns.
4. In the third row, the crochet crochet pattern looks like this: 1 stalk, 2 sticks (2 times), 1 st, 2 tbsp. (3 times), 1 tbsp. 2 tbsp. (3 times), 1 item, 2 tbsp. (2 times). In the end, it should already be 24 columns. Such a scheme is necessary to form a rounded head.
5. Seven rows are tied straight, in 8 rows through every 2 bars 2 loops knit together. The total number of loops is reduced to 18.
6. In the ninth row, the number of loops is reduced by another 4.
7. Two straight lines are transmitted.
8. The result should be a rounded head with the last two straight rows.

The head must be tightly packed.

The eyes are also tied. For this:

1. A chain of 4 air loops is ringed and fastened with 7 posts without a crochet.
2. The number of columns in the next row increases according to the scheme: 2 items, 1 item, 2 items, 1 tbsp. In total, 11 bars are obtained.
3. Two rows are tied straight, then the thread changes to white, two more rows are straightened.
4. The eyes are tightly stuffed with cotton, then knitting passes over the "filled" eyes.
5. The reduction is carried out as follows: 2 loops of each row are tied one until there are only 3 loops left.
6. Very nice little eyes turned out, but for now it's too early to sew them to the head. First, you need to stuff the snake body, not very tightly, and insert a wire that will give the snake the desired shape.

Then fill the cotton-wooled head with the trunk.

The last stage is sewing eyes with black beads-pupils.

The New Year's snake crochet will turn out even nicer if you make for her a nice forked tongue. To do this, thread the red thread between the loops of the head.

The tongue is simply plaited with a pigtail.
