Going to the sea, we begin to list everything you need: sunblock, means for burns, glasses, panama, first-aid kit ... And very often one overlooks one simple, but necessary accessory - a beach bag. Where do we put all of the above, going to the beach? And in the car you will not leave, and it is not convenient to carry in your hands.
However, a beach bag is not only a practical and functional thing, it is, first and foremost, a women's bag, and it must certainly complement the exquisite style of her mistress. In the master class, we show how you can sew your own hands with a stylish beach bag with a cheerful applique.
How to sew a beach bag?
First of all we will prepare all necessary materials for sewing a beach bag. Here's what we need to work:
- fabric for sewing bags - we took white linen;
- non-woven fabric;
- Decorative braid, combined in color with future applications;
- threads, needles;
- good sewing scissors;
- iron;
- Printed on a sheet of paper for application;
- Other ornaments for a bag to your taste.
Now we can do the sewing of bags.
Beach bag with own hands - a master class
- First of all, we need to build a pattern of a beach bag with our own hands. We transfer the scheme from image to paper, select the desired size, keeping the proportions.
- Then we transfer the patterns from paper to the fabric, cut out the details of the bag from the fabric and sew them, pre-processing the edges. If you have at least minimal sewing skills on the typewriter, difficulties should arise.
- We will tackle a more complicated stage of sewing a beach bag with our own hands - making appliqués. So, we have a paper sheet with a picture of a bicycle.
- Using the stencil method, transfer the image of the bicycle from the paper to the non-woven fabric.
- Next carefully cut out the non-woven details of the application.
- Now take a bright fabric, which we will use as an application, and glued to it non-woven fillets with a heated iron.
- Then we cut out the details of the application from the fabric - we get two blue tires for the wheels and a bicycle sprocket.
- Well, finally, we place the applique on the front side of the bag, we sew the fabric elements and embroider the rest of the bicycle parts. As axes we used small dark blue underwear buttons.
- Despite the bright cheerful applique, something our bag lacks, there is no element of the border. To fix this flaw, we need a rim.
- We could not find a blue border, so we took the most ordinary white and decorated it with bright turquoise threads of iris - just made a line in the form of a zigzag along its entire length.
- And now take our decorated braid, arrange on the upper contour of our beach bag, leaving twenty centimeters to beautifully tie. Next, carefully tuck in white or sew handmade braid around the circle, trying not to make a line on
- There remains one small, but perhaps the most important detail of the bag - handles. We cut out handles of the necessary length, we make the width of the pattern so that the fabric can be folded in half.
- Fold the strips of fabric in half, stow, then turn them from the wrong side to the front and, finally, sewn to the bag.
- Now, at last, everything is ready. We can decorate a beach bag with our own hands to your taste. To decorate the purse, we used a few dark blue buttons and ribbons in blue tones.
Our original beach bag with a cheerful applique is ready. We can safely go to the beach with a new stylish accessory.
