The most frequently used for this purpose are the following materials:
- dense polyethylene film, which gardeners are used for sheltering greenhouses;
- opaque paper, preferably Whatman;
- dense fabric;
- A special film for laminating books;
- food film;
- oilcloth.
The algorithm for wrapping textbooks is practically the same in all cases. In order to protect the book from the negative effects of external factors and mechanical damages, the following step-by-step instruction should be used:
- Prepare all that is needed - a sufficient piece of paper or any other material, scissors and scotch.
- Put the book on paper and bend it about 3 cm.
- Cut the extra piece with scissors.
- Repeat the action on the other side.
- Cut off the excess on the long side of the book. You should stay about 3 cm.
- In the lower end part, cut out a piece that is equal in width to the thickness of the book.
- Open the book and fix the cover with scotch tape.
- Repeat the action on the other side.
- Here such simple method it is possible to wrap up any textbook, even the non-standard size, directly in house conditions.
With this method, you can turn absolutely any textbooks, including those for which standard covers are not suitable. In addition, this method allows you to design each book to your own taste, decorating it with various ornaments.
