Causes and Symptoms of Cardiac Muscle Inflammation
The cause of myocarditis can be any infection. But as practice shows, most often inflammation is preceded by a viral lesion. To promote the appearance of the disease can:

- pneumonia;
- scarlet fever ;
- flu.
In some patients, the inflammatory process begins after the use of antibiotics, sulfonamides, the administration of serums and vaccines. - fast fatigue;
- shortness of breath;
- general malaise;
- arrhythmia;
- tachycardia.
Sometimes in patients with myocarditis cervical veins swell, pulmonary edema begins, the liver is enlarged.
Treatment of inflammation of the heart muscle
Patients with inflammation of the heart muscle must be admitted to hospital without fail. At home, treat this disease categorically not recommended. During treatment it is desirable to adhere to bed rest, avoid physical exertion. Some patients are shown oxygen inhalations and drug therapy. If myocarditis is caused by bacteria, antibiotics can be prescribed.
How long the treatment will last depends on the severity of the disease. But usually complex therapy lasts no less than six months.
