- lithium chloride;
- polysorbate;
- methylparahydroxybenzonate.
Comparing the compositions of these drugs, we can note the fact that neither Polidex nor Isophra are analogues of each other.
Indications Izopra and Polidexes
Properties of the drug Isofra allow you to apply it for diagnoses such as:
- rhinitis ;
- sinusitis;
- acute rhinopharyngitis.
Polidex preparation, possessing more extensive medical properties, can be appointed at following diseases:
- coryza (acute nasopharyngitis );
- chronic inflammatory processes of the nasal sinuses (sinusitis);
- acute sinusitis and pharyngitis.
Possessing anti-allergic properties, Polidex can be prescribed for a cold caused by exposure to allergens.
Contraindications and side effects of drugs
Comparing drugs, it is worth paying attention to the number of contraindications to their use. The least amount is noted in the drug Isofra. It should not be used for treatment in people who are hypersensitive to the antibiotics of the aminoglycoside group (gentamicin, neomycin, cantamicin, etc.). An undesirable effect with the use of this drug may be a local allergic skin reaction. Also, one should remember about the possible violation of the natural nasopharyngeal microflora if Isophra is used for treatment for more than 10 days.
Spray for the nose Polidex has a much greater number of contraindications, because is a combined preparation. It should be used with caution when:
- glaucoma;
- viral diseases (herpes, chicken pox, etc.);
- diseases of the thyroid gland;
- hypertension;
- ischemic heart disease.
