International Day of KVN

All favorite TV show KVN will soon enough celebrate its 45th anniversary. For the years of its existence, it not only fell in love with many viewers, but also gave way to a lot of its participants, and for someone even became a way of life. And already for 12 years, KVN players not only Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, but also many other CIS countries and even America , Israel and Canada celebrate their official holiday - World KVN Day. But the date of celebration, November 8, is not chosen by chance - this is the day of the release of the very first transmission in the distant 1961. And the game began to emerge much earlier.

The history of the appearance of the TV show KVN

In 1956, Soviet television first came up with the idea of organizing a humorous show with the participation of spectators. It was called "Evening of funny questions" and was conceived in the image of a Czech television program. In addition, that the Soviet people never saw anything like this on TV, this project was interesting to people even by the fact that it was broadcast live. However, only three releases appeared in 1957. The reason for the closure was the forgetfulness of the presenter - Nikita Bogoslovsky. He announced to people that in the next transfer a person who came in a fur coat and felt boots will receive a prize. But I completely forgot to mention such an important attribute for receiving a gift, like the New Year's newspaper of 1956. Well, due to the fact that there were no problems with winter clothes, and they did not know about the newspaper, there were quite a few willing. This was the reason for the riots, the scandal and the subsequent shutdown of the telecast. But the popularity of even such a small number of issues of "Evening of funny questions" made the "Festival Editorial Board of the Central Television Station" headed by Sergei Muratov think about the creation of such a fun program. And four years later, on November 8, 1961, the first time a television program called KVN appeared on the country's television screens. Her lead for the first three years was Albert Axelrod. And after his departure, the editorial board invited a young student of MIIT, Alexander Maslyakov, who was leading the KVN until its closure in 1971.

Holiday Day of KVN

For the first time the date of celebrating the International Day of KVN was designated long after its revival on television - in 15 years. The first special project dedicated to this holiday was held on November 8, 2001 in honor of the club's 40th anniversary. However, their first birthday KVN-erschiki noted five years before this event in the framework of the concert "Nam-35". It was this year that the club's management felt confident that the project was destined to "live" for many more years.

The first special KVN event was decided to be celebrated not by usual teams, but by teams from the 20th and 21st centuries. They were the leading players of the best teams, who simply "blew up" the country with their jokes. After such success it was decided to arrange such off-season games every year in honor of the Day of laughter KVN. Since then, KVN players have celebrated their holiday with the game of two originally assembled teams. In addition to the teams of the past and the present, on the International Day of the KVN, the USSR competed against the CIS, the champions against the non-champions, Russia versus the countries of the near abroad, and the participants in one team divided into blocs fought among themselves. And in 2009, in honor of the holiday, a consolation ticket to the finals among the seasonal participants was played. But regardless of the principle of distribution of the players of the teams, each of the special projects caused unrestrained laughter in the viewers and viewers of the program.

And, despite the fact that the International Day of KVN is not included in the list of UN holidays, it is really celebrated all over the world, and millions of fans of this game do not depart from the TV screens on the evening of November 8 of each year.
