Isothermal container

Transportation of food and beverages can sometimes become a problem, as most vehicles are not equipped with food storage facilities. However, manufacturers offer a simple solution - an isothermal container.

What is an isothermal container?

An isothermal container, or thermobox, is called a special container, which is used to transport cargo, which requires a certain temperature regime. The container consists of a solid container with a rigid shape and covers that provide complete insulation, so that heat exchange with the environment is significantly limited. Insulation is achieved by the presence of a double wall, whose inner part is filled with polyurethane foam. The thermally insulated lid is closed with special fasteners - metal or rubber locks. Usually a plastic isothermal container is made, the inner wall of which is made of polypropylene, and the outer one is made of polyethylene.

How to use an isothermal container?

It is understandable that an isothermal food container is used, more precisely for its transportation and inadequate storage. Thanks to the thermal insulation inside, the temperature with which the load was placed is maintained. For example, isothermal containers for frozen foods are often used. It can be frozen meat and fish, ice cream . In such containers, vegetables and fruit, dairy products, as well as chilled drinks, which when heated lose their taste - beer, champagne. Sometimes freshly cooked dishes are delivered in a thermobox to ensure that they do not cool down. Often, isothermal containers are also used to transport medicines that require a low storage temperature.

It is justified to use an isothermal container for fishing to preserve the catch or rest on the nature. However, in this case, for a longer period of keeping the cold in the tank, it is recommended to get cold accumulators. This is the name of the device in which the plastic case contains a substance with a thermal capacity. Pre-cooled in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator, the cold storage battery allows to keep in low-temperature (-23 + 7 ° C) isothermal containers (thermobox) up to five to eighteen hours.

Issue isothermal containers of various volumes - from 1 to 32 liters. Moreover, the larger the thermobox size, the longer it retains the desired temperature regime. By the way, there is a kind of isothermal container - a thermos bottle. It is made of a textile material with isothermal properties and is used for short-term transportation.
