Layout of the living room

When planning how to arrange a living room in your home, you should rely on your own preferences. Designers are not advised to focus only on fashion, as trends change rapidly, and you will be in this room after repair for at least several years to come. Therefore, planning the living room should be in such a way that you and your family members are comfortable in it.

There are no specific rules in the design of the living room, everything is very individual. However, some points are worth highlighting:

There are more original layout variants of the living room, which is combined with another room, for example, a dining room, kitchen or even a bedroom.

The layout of the kitchen-living room

For a living room combined with a kitchen, it is better to choose more practical finishing materials, since food will be prepared in this room. For example, instead of the usual laminate, you can use porcelain stoneware "under parquet" or "under a tree" - outwardly it does not differ from the specified materials, but it has much greater wear resistance and simplicity in cleaning.

The layout of the living room-bedroom

This option is not uncommon for small apartments. To successfully combine the living room with the bedroom, use zoning. Let these two parts of the room be separated not only territorially, but also with the help of lighting and finishing. They can even be made a little different in style (for example, English style and Provence). The sleeper should ideally be fenced off with a partition, a screen, a shelf or in a niche.

The layout of the living-dining room

The layout of the living room with a fireplace is one of the most successful solutions in a private home. In this case, you get a large and, importantly, a cozy room for the rest of the family. Separate one part of the room from the other will help a dining set or a direct classic sofa.
