It all started with the dances that Macy has been doing for a long time and quite seriously. At one of the performances, the young dancer was noticed by the producers and invited to the samples. So the girl became part of the team that created the most ambitious and successful in box office series of modern television. In the "Game of Thrones" Macy plays Aryu Stark, who belongs to one of the great houses of Västerås. Her father is killed and the girl, in search of avenging methods becomes a member of the secret organization of murderers, acquiring the ability to reincarnate in other people.
In one of the last works in the movie, the movie "Wild Ancestors", Macy had to get used to the image of the animated character. The film was created by the Bristol studio Aardaman Animations and Macy herself is also from Bristol. However, this coincidence, the actress is only happy:
"I'm so glad that Nick Park invited me to this project. I consider him one of the best animated filmmakers. He shot "Lamb Shawn", "Escape from the chicken coop" and many other cool cartoons. I've always been interested in cartoons, it's an incredible job. At school, my friends and I also molded different plasticine characters, and then tried to revive them with the help of a parent video camera. This, of course, children's fun, and the creation of animated films, in fact, laborious and titanic work. I always wanted to voice a character, and when I had the opportunity, I was just happy. But, to be honest, I was very worried, because this is a completely new work for me, and since I want to do it well, I have to try my best. It's only from the outside it seems that everything is very simple. And I had to work hard. But here there are pluses - you can experiment, give vent to fantasy. It was very interesting to me".
The history of struggle and team spirit
The actress does not draw parallels with her characters, but admits that in Gun (an animated character) she involuntarily found similarity with some features of her character:
"My heroine Guna is a great footballer, which you can not say about me. I, like a real Englishwoman, seem to be interested in football, but this is completely wrong. And I'm not at all ashamed. The main theme of the film, in my opinion, is not just football, as it may seem at first glance. The main idea of the picture is teamwork, mutual assistance and overcoming difficulties on the way to its goal. I tried to make my character completely independent and a new personality, unlike anybody. I had a lot to learn. Previous experience of filming does not always help and you have to re-master a lot. Although it's a sin to complain to me, I'm so lucky to be part of the "Game of Thrones."
The main thing is not to relax
Here's how Macy Williams recalls his first steps in the cinema:
"When I started doing the series, I was 14. Then I did not know much, I did not understand how to behave better. Communication with the press and close attention paparazzi - part of the acting profession, but because of inexperience, I first tried to take on too much immediately and please everyone. Now I learned a lot and became more versed in all the details. I began to spend less time in public and sometimes try to give myself a break. Since the beginning of filming in the project, I often heard from friends that my life will change dramatically. But, to be honest, I did not aspire to this. I like to go home with my family, to walk around my native city. In this cycle of glory and chic parties sometimes you feel uncomfortable and want to escape far away, hide in your ordinary life away from prying eyes. Today I feel confident and in many ways thanks to my mom. She believed in me, supported and taught me to always achieve what I wanted. Now I can confidently tell people that one should never despair. You only need to practice what you like. In today's world, unfortunately, there are so many problems and difficulties in overcoming which many lose their taste for life and cease to enjoy simple things. So never give up your goal and do what you love, no matter how much money it brings. "

The last season
Seven years have passed since the release of the first season of the "Game of Thrones." In 2018, the authors of the project plan to complete the shooting of the 8th season. Macy Williams does not hide that he will miss his heroine and the whole crew:
"Recently I decided to review the first season of the" Game of Thrones "and discovered for myself that it turns out that a few years ago I played much better. I was interested to analyze how my character changed, and as a result, I realized that my inexperience played into my hands and the game was very lively and real. Maybe it's all about youthful emancipation. After all, with experience come and fears that need to be overcome in order to play well. I was lucky to work with real professionals, and we became very friendly, became one big family. We have passed a lot, including the test of glory. Together we created a grandiose and beautiful project. But all good things also come to an end. And this is also good. The series can not be infinite, so as not to bore the viewer.
