Marino-Punta Sal


One of the most interesting places in the port city of Tela in Honduras is the Marino Punta Sal National Park, also known as the Khanet Kawas Park. He received this name in honor of the ecologist, who prevented the development of the park zone. The reserve includes tropical forests and mangrove swamps of the Department of Atlantis, which are under the protection of the authorities of Honduras.

The Marino-Punta Sal National Park is open for visits daily from 09:00 to 18:00. Free admission. Rafting tours, boat trips, trekking in the jungle and rainforest are organized for a fee.

Park Khanet Kavas is located 15 km from the city ​​of Tela . You can get to it on one of the buses that run along the route "Tel-Marino-Punta Sal", or by taxi.
