Everyone who has ever treated teeth in life knows that this process is not the most pleasant, often accompanied by pain, and it is not cheap. Untreated teeth, in addition to discomfort and pain, become a real time bomb for the body, being a constant focus of infection. That's why all parents dream that their children's teeth are healthy and beautiful. The simplest and most effective way to keep your teeth healthy for a long time is to teach them the rules of oral hygiene.
Rules of oral hygiene
1. To begin friendship with a toothbrush it is necessary from the moment of eruption of the very first tooth. Of course, parents should clean their teeth, but from 3-4 years old children can fully cope with this task on their own.
2. Hygiene of the oral cavity in children includes daily brushing of teeth twice a day: morning and evening. It is absolutely not important whether the child will brush his teeth before or after breakfast, the main thing is that after eating, at least 30 minutes have passed. The fact is that immediately after eating in the oral cavity the acidity rises, and the tooth enamel slightly softens. In the evening, teeth are better cleaned just before bedtime.
3. Teeth need to be cleaned correctly - different surfaces require cleaning with different movements:
- The chewing surface of the tooth must be cleaned with "forward-backward" movements, orienting the brush across the dentition;
- cheek (facing cheeks and lips), the surface is cleaned in a circular motion, massaging the gums;
- The lingual (facing the tongue) surface is also cleaned in a circular motion, paying special attention to the front teeth, where the stone is most often formed;
- The palatal (facing to the sky) surface is cleaned in circular motions, placing the brush vertically.
