Padielante


In the northern part of Sweden is the largest national park Padelantha (Padjelanta). It belongs to the Norrbotten line and borders on Norway .

The reserve zone was founded in 1962 with the support of the Swedish Riksdag. Padelant has an area of ​​1984 square meters. km. Together with neighboring national parks ( Sarek , Muddus, Stur-Shephalet ) and natural reserves (Stubba and Siaunia), it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as the Lapland zone - Laponia.

The contrast of the surface is enhanced by extensive meadows, birch forests, glaciers and swamps. The name of the nature protection zone came from the word Badjelánnda, which can be translated from Lule-Saami as "higher than the earth".

How to get there?
