History of discovery
The existence of the park would have been impossible if the famous ornithologist Christos Christophorus had not been so carried away by the birds. Initially, he collected a collection of exotic birds in his house, but very soon there was no room left for Christos' home. Then he decided to open the park as a continuation of his personal collection, but the scale of the plan was so great that now it is one of the largest private collections.
In 2003, Christopher decided to open a park for visits. This decision was of great importance, because tourists not only can admire the variety of specimens, but also learn useful information about birds, learn to love them and take care, which is much more important.
Park in our days
Now the park of birds on Paphos is one of the most visited and interesting places in Cyprus . After all, he is located in a surprisingly beautiful corner of the island, where the man did not have time to manage. The park is spread over a huge area of 100,000 square meters and is open to visitors all year round. Inside the amphitheater is built, designed for 350 spectators, which demonstrates a colorful show with the participation of birds. In the hot season, the room is air conditioned, and when the outside temperature is below zero, heaters turn on.

The park is open daily from October to March from 9.00 to 17.00, from April to September from 9.00 until sunset. Entrance to the park of Paphos birds is paid. Adult ticket costs 15.50 €, for children - 8.50 €.
