Perth Airport is for domestic and international flights. It serves the capital of the state of Western Australia with the same name. Located in the suburbs of Perth , near the outskirts of Belmont and Radcliffe (in the direction to the west). This is the fourth busiest airport in the country. It serves many destinations to Dhabi, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and others.
Airport Infrastructure
Over the past few years, the flow of passengers at Perth Airport has grown significantly, primarily because of the boom in mining and the increase in traffic from international low-cost air carriers. For passenger service and cargo transportation at Perth Airport (Australia), the work is organized as follows:
- International Terminal 1 (T1) services flights arriving or departing from Australia. It is equipped with 5 telescopic ladders and 8 exits, including a landing system for two aircraft at the same time, even such as Boeing 777 and Airbus A380;
- Terminal 2 (T2) is located on the south-west side of T1. It is designed to serve regional and domestic flights;
- Terminals 3 and 4 (T3 and T4) serve domestic flights and are located in the same building at the rear of the airport;
- The Northern Small Aircraft Terminal is used mainly for charter aircraft, usually mining companies.
The international terminal is located 11 km from the other terminals. They are interconnected by an internal road within the airport (Dunreath Drive). Flights to Perth Airport are served on two runways - main 03/21 (dimensions 3444 m × 45 m) and auxiliary 06/24 (2163 m × 45 m).
Transport
You can drive to the domestic terminals from Perth's business center on the Great Eastern Highway and Brearley Avenue. The international terminal can be reached via the Tonkin Highway and Horrie Miller Drive. International and domestic terminals are serviced by private operators of charter buses, where you can leave most of the major hotels in the city.
