Soup with fish balls

Soup with meatballs - this dish comes from childhood. This soup was given for lunch in the kindergarten, it was prepared by my mother when we were ill with a cold or sore throat. It is a pity that the childhood is gone. But the dish can be cooked at any age, why not. Moreover, for a soup with fish or meatballs, the recipe is not difficult to find.

With meatballs, the first dish is fatter, and with fish easier and dietary. Below are two recipes for soup with fish balls from white fish varieties.


Soup with fish balls in cod

From cod cook broth. We get ready fish and cool it. Broth filter.

The cod fillets are separated from the bones. Soak the crumb of white bread in milk. After a few minutes, squeeze the bread and add to the fish. Fish and bread kneaded with a fork until smooth. One onion finely chopped and fried in oil, add to ground meat. Egg whisk a bit and also attach to stuffing. We taste it. If necessary, salt and stir.

Broth put on the fire, give a boil. To the broth we throw the carrots cut into cubes, the second onion and celery. When the vegetables are ready, into the soup we throw fish minced, formed into small balls. We cook for about 10 minutes.

We clean potatoes, carrots and parsley root. Cut into cubes and cook for 15-20 minutes.

To make meatballs, let the butter on the oil. We pass the fish fillet through a meat grinder, combine it with fried onion and raw egg. To taste salt and pepper. From minced meat form balls - meatballs. In a boiling broth from vegetables we throw fish meatballs alternately. We cook for 10 minutes.

To make the soup opaque and more dense, cooked potatoes can be kneaded to the state of gruel.
