Verbal thinking

When you say that you do not think about anything, you really do not notice what is happening in your head. Thoughts fly by streams in our brain, and we have become so accustomed to this, that we are sure - it does not count. And what is a thought without a word - spoken out loud or about yourself? The word is the shell of thought, its manifestation. The verbal form of thought is called verbal thinking.

Development

Psychologists have found that children with more developed abstract verbal thinking show a much higher performance in all subjects. Especially, it concerns humanitarian disciplines.

However, if you have not developed this in school, there are many different ways of developing verbal thinking at any age.

We take an arbitrary phrase, for example, "I think, then I exist!" And we pronounce it in different intonations, with different speed, timbre, semantic saturation.

Now we imagine how it is pronounced by different people - your relatives, friends, celebrities, etc.

Further, for the development of verbal and non-verbal thinking, we imagine that it "sounds" in our head, in the chest, in the leg, in the back, in the corner of the room, on the ceiling. She's there - just imagine.

Read it as if it were written on a blackboard. And now imagine that it swims like a cloud, past your eyes.

As we have already said, the mind stream constantly pours in our heads, which often prevents us from concentrating on work. In order to learn how to manage it, you should count from 10 to 1, combining the score with the rhythm of breathing, and as soon as the slightest thought flashes in your head during the count, start counting from the very beginning.

We carry out the exercise of "dissidents". We develop verbal-logical thinking : in the room where you are, name each object differently, so that the name corresponds to its characteristic. For example, a door can be called a "cover", and a glass is a "glimpse", etc.
