Viru-Viru Airport

In the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz , at an altitude of 375 m above sea level, the country's largest air harbor - Viru Viru International Airport - is located. It was built in 1977 on the site of El Trompillo airport. Viru-Viru quickly gained fame and became the main air gate of the state.

The territory of the airport Viru-Viru is equipped with a single runway, made of concrete. Its length is 3,500 m. Passenger traffic of the air harbor reaches 1.2 million traveling, transported annually.

One passenger terminal operates in the airport building, which serves both domestic and international flights. The arrival hall, as well as the check-in counter, is on the first floor, and the exits for landing are located on the second floor.

To its passengers the international airport of Viru-Viru offers a wide range of services. On its territory there is a center for tourists, a hotel, a bank, supermarkets, an excellent restaurant and a cozy cafe. Near the terminal building there is a bus stop, a taxi stand, a car rental agency.

How to get to Viru-Viru?

You can reach the destination by public transport , a taxi or a rented car. Buses run from different city districts, the routes of which pass near the airport. If you want comfortably and without fuss to come to the place, it is better to order a taxi.
