Aluminum ceilings

Today, people pay particular attention to the interior of the premises, as along with practicality, many want to diversify the room and make fresh notes there. In contrast to the past, today's interiors impress with their diversity and the embodiment of the most daring decisions. Designers pay special attention to the design of the interior space, in particular the ceiling. The market of building materials offers countless options for finishing the ceiling. One of the innovative decorative solutions is the use of suspended ceilings made of metal - they add to the interior not only the "freshness of the solution" and the eccentricity, but also the convenience.

Aluminum ceilings have a lot of advantages that distinguish them from a number of traditional ceiling solutions:

Types of ceilings from metal profiles

Metal ceilings are classified into cassette, rack and raster.

  1. The aluminum cassette ceiling has a simple square shape and can easily be integrated into a complex room. Aluminum cassettes are easily adjusted to the size of the ceiling. The frame is a system of T-shaped steel guides. The profiles are assembled in a rectangle or square and are secured with self-locking locks. In the suspension system, it is easy to install spotlights. Cassette ceilings are often found in offices, car dealerships, educational institutions, conference rooms.
  2. Rack (linear) ceilings consist of lightweight rails of different widths, varnished with hot drying. Panels are fixed to the ceiling with the help of stingers, which are also called "comb". Unlike square cassettes, the slats have not such a strict office appearance and fit well into the interior of the house. Rack ceilings can also be used for exterior finishing.
  3. Raster ceilings - a type of suspended ceilings with a lattice structure. The ceilings consist of 600 x 600 square cassettes with cells of different widths. The lattice ceiling can be installed on any supporting structure, so they are often combined with other types of coatings. The ceiling-grid is often found in transport terminals, sports complexes, shops, nightclubs and restaurants.

There are also classifications by color and coating. If you follow it, then the ceilings can be divided into mirror and matte. Tensioning mirror aluminum ceilings are covered with a special chrome coating, due to which they reflect everything that is under them. The opposite is mirrored matte and colored aluminum ceilings. This type is more reserved and well suited for office-type rooms.

Often people install suspended aluminum ceilings in rooms with high humidity, in particular kitchen and bathroom. Aluminum ceilings for the kitchen are easy to clean from the condensation of fat and steam. They withstand heat and do not deteriorate due to moisture. In the ceilings can be mounted large pendant lamps, which will well illuminate the working area.

Mirror ceilings will be stylishly combined with chrome shelves and taps, and colored panels can be matched in tone to the tile.
