Applications of fabric can be used to decorate many products - tablecloths, napkins, pillows, potholders. By the New Year, you can make a set of napkins with the application of the cockerel.
How to make a cock appliqué from the fabric with your own hands
To make an applique from fabric, we will need:
- paper;
- pencil;
- scissors;
- red cloth in white peas;
- colorful striped fabric;
- light pink or white fabric;
- thread;
- needle.
Operating procedure:
- First draw a cockerel on paper.
- According to this picture we will make a pattern for the application of the cockerel.
- Cut out parts of the application of the cockerel from the fabric. From the red fabric we'll cut out the trunk, beak, comb and beard. From the striped fabric we'll cut out the head, the wing and three details of the tail.
- From a light pink or white fabric, we will cut out a rectangle of the correct size, for example, 20 x 26 cm.
- We sweep the trunk, beak, scallop and beard to the rectangle.
- Fill the sewing machine with a red thread and set the zigzag stitch. We sew along the edge of red details - beak, scallop, trunk and beard.
- Now fill the sewing machine with orange threads and sew the head of the cockerel around the edge. The outline will be pulled out.
- We sweep the wing and the details of the tail.
- Sew them with orange threads zigzag seam, and then pull out the notch.
- We will mark paws with a pencil. Let's sew on the planned lines with orange threads, zigzag.
- We sew the eye with black thread by hand.
- Fill the car with white or pink thread. The edges of the rectangle will be tucked and sewed in a zigzag.
- Napkin with the appliqué "Cockerel" is ready. A set of such napkins will look good on the New Year's table.
