Since fruits ripen in the summer, it is very important to help the plants then regain their strength. Therefore, for autumn trees is important autumn top dressing. It provides an opportunity to replenish the supplies of necessary substances, strengthen the root system before wintering and lay the future crop.
To fertilizers had time to assimilate, they should be introduced no later than a month before the onset of the first cold weather. But apart from the timing, it is very important to choose the correct way to feed adult fruit trees and their seedlings.

The following autumn fertilizers are recommended:
- phosphoric - are needed to strengthen the roots and accumulate sugar and protein in the tree's juice, for 1 m & sup2 - 50 g;

- wood ash - helps to increase acidity and normalize food, and also enrich the soil with 17 necessary substances, 1 m & sup2 - 250 g.
Do not use nitrogenous fertilizers, as their active substance stimulates growth, which is undesirable before wintering, and it is easily washed out, so it will not survive until spring. This especially applies to the feeding of seedlings of fruit trees.
How?
Autumn top dressing is performed as follows:
- around the tree trunk we make small trenches or holes, 15-20 cm deep;
- we introduce fertilizing in them;
- flooded with water.
