Bhakti Yoga

Bhakti yoga is the amazing direction of yoga, which involves a deep inner connection with one of the manifestations of God. The very word bhakti can be translated into Russian as love and devotion - it is these feelings of the yogi of this direction that teach us to send to the Creator. In the monuments of ancient Indian literature this kind of yoga is put higher than such popular branches as jnana yoga, raja yoga and karma yoga.

Bhakti Yoga: Features

Practical philosophy, such as yoga, not only requires performing asanas and meditations on the outer plane, but also assumes the acceptance of the concepts of yoga. To do this, you should familiarize yourself with the basics that brought to us the oldest Vedic books.

It is believed that God reveals three aspects:

  1. The lower aspect is called Brahma dyoti and implies spiritual radiance with the divine.
  2. The second, intermediate aspect is the super-soul, or the localized paramatma. It is believed that in the heart, near the soul of any living being, there is this essence.
  3. The third, the highest aspect, is called Krsna or the Supreme Personality of Godhead. It is the cause of all causes.

Many of those who are superficially acquainted with bhakti-yoga, frighten the word Krishna (and it, by the way, in the translation from the ancient language - Sanskrit - bears the value of the eternal source of pleasure). Turning to the Vedic books, one can know that the modern era was predicted by a variety of incomplete religious systems, each of which emphasizes and emphasizes only certain qualities of Krsna. These systems can be classified according to their level depending on their content. Bhakti-yoga is not directed to small branches, but to the service of the supreme deity.

Bhakti-vriksha: for like-minded people

If you are seriously keen on yoga, it makes sense to join bhakti-vriksha - a small group of people who meet weekly to discuss various issues related to yoga practice.

Usually such groups include teachers (preachers) of bhakti, or simply group leaders, who help a person to establish themselves in the rightness of their choice and turn to the service of Krishna. It is they who are responsible for how exactly the classes take place. There is even a special textbook called "Branches of bhakti." This book in such groups is very respected and considered a guide.

Bhakti Music and Activities

Often yoga is inseparable from a special soundtrack, and this branch is no exception. For classes where meditations take place, you need bhakti music, which helps you tune in to the right mood. The album "Bhaishjaya" is popular: Medicine Buddha and other Mantras in "close harmony", which includes the following compositions:

This music and mantras contribute to the harmonization of the human soul and its strengthening in their faith. Bhakti-yoga means the daily repetition of special mantras - the so-called japa-meditation. It is necessary to make beads for meditation, including 109 beads - they will help to read the mantra, without getting off the count 108 times - the last bead is accepted to be missed.

It is to increase concentration on spoken words, and you need music that allows you to reach the desired state of thoughts. This meditation allows you to restore a previously lost connection with God. It is important that you do not need to leave your family or break away from ordinary business or work - you can meditate in any convenient environment, and not just in a group of like-minded people.
