How to make paper blinds: a master class
So, before manufacturing it is necessary to measure a window on which paper blinds will hang. By these measurements, we cut out a cut of paper - we make the width the same, but the length is better done with a margin. After all, we will do pleated blinds made of paper, which means that the material needs to be folded with an accordion that will hide the length. It is better to add 30-40 cm, you can always cut off excess.
- Folds a piece of paper into an accordion. We advise not to make small creases, it is better to choose a width of 3.5-4 cm.
- In the middle of a punch hole folded into an accordion, we make a hole.
- On the lowest crease we paste a strip of double-sided scotch. Its segment should be slightly less than half the fold.
- In all openings of the paper "accordion" we insert a rope and straighten the blinds. In this way we measure the required length of the rope.
- Now fix the rope on the top of the blinds, making a knot through the hole and securing with a double-sided adhesive tape along the entire length of the fold.
- Let's proceed to the bottom of the blinds. Fold the fold in half so that the end of the rope is at the bottom. Due to the length of the double-sided adhesive tape, both edges of the fold are glued together, forming a half-oval resembling a peacock's tail.
- In the unfolded form at the blinds cut off the tip of the rope, of course leaving a small stock. At the edge of the rope, we first put a latch, and then a tip (instead of it you can use a large bead), which will give the product elegance.
- Now ready blinds made of paper are hung on the window using double-sided scotch tape.
