So, let's rinse the melon thoroughly and cut it with a sharp knife into 2 halves. Carefully take out a tablespoon of all the seeds, rinse it and chop it in thin slices. Cut the cake carefully and crush the pulp in small pieces. The root of the ginger will be rinsed, wiped with a kitchen towel, peeled off the skins and grinded on a grater.

Let's throw the ginger on the bottom of the clean jars, and then tightly lay out the prepared cubes of melon, fill them with sugar and add a little citric acid. At the very end, we'll pour cool water up to the very top, cover it tightly with lids and set the jars in a saucepan, on the bottom of which we lay a cloth or gauze. Fill the dishes with warm water, bring it to a boil, reduce heat and sterilize the jars for 5-10 minutes. After that, we roll them with lids, wrap them in a blanket and let it cool down, turning it upside down. The ready canned melon is used for preparing various desserts or eating it simply with hot tea.

Melon is washed under cold water, dried dry and cut into 2 halves. Then, using a tablespoon, gently remove all the seeds and cut the crust. Flesh again rinse and soak dry with a clean towel. The product is cut into small cubes and thrown into a bowl.

Next, we cook the syrup: take the pan, pour water into it, drop the sugar and a little citric acid. We mix everything thoroughly and place the dishes on medium heat. After boiling, reduce the heat and cook the contents for 5 minutes. Now put pieces of melon in liter clean jars and fill with hot sweet syrup. Immediately roll them with lids and cover it with something warm. Leave the melon preserved in the syrup in this condition until it cools down completely, and then we will rearrange the workpiece into the cellar or refrigerator.

How can a melon be preserved for the winter?

To begin with, we wash the melon, dry it, and peel it from the peel and seeds. The resulting pulp will be cut into the same small pieces.

Further in the pan, pour boiled water, throw the ground cinnamon, ginger and put honey. All thoroughly mixed, add the vinegar and put the dishes on medium fire. Let's finish the contents before boiling and, stirring, cook for 5 minutes.

In the meantime, we will prepare the banks: we will wash them and dry them. Densely lay out in them prepared slices of melon, fill it with a completely hot marinade, cover with lids and sterilize it in the way convenient for you within 10 minutes. Then roll up the preservation with lids, turn it upside down and wrap the workpiece in a warm blanket. After cooling, we will change the banks to a cool place. After a few days, the delicacy is fully prepared and can be served to the table. Finished canned melon to taste is obtained as a pineapple and perfectly suits as a dessert for tea.
