Karipazim - an enzymatic herbal preparation, obtained from the milky juice of papaya (melon tree). The proteolytic enzymes in the caripazyme play an important role in the metabolism in the human body, and lysozyme, which is also contained in the preparation, has an anti-inflammatory effect, due to which the agent is widely used in orthopedics, traumatology, neurosurgery and neurology.
The use of karipazima in physiotherapy
Due to the properties of cleavage necrotic tissues and dilute exudate, blood clots, viscous secrets, caripazim has been successfully used for electrophoresis. Especially the drug is effective in the treatment of:
- osteochondrosis, including intervertebral hernias and discogenic radiculitis;
- keloid scars;
- arthrosis-arthritic joint injuries;
- neurological inflammation of the facial nerve;
- cerebral and spinal arachnoiditis.
Organization of electrophoresis procedure
In the presence of a special device, electrophoresis of caripazim can be performed at home. Physiotherapy for injuries and orthopedic diseases is organized as follows:
- One of the pads is wetted with a solution of karipazim and connected to the positive pole.
- The other is impregnated with a 0.9% solution of sodium chloride, which is preheated to the temperature of the human body or 2 to 3 degrees more. The gasket is respectively connected to the negative pole.
- Gaskets are placed so that the affected joint is between them. In this case, the electrode pads can be arranged both longitudinally and transversely.
- Turn on the device, passing a weak galvanic current. The current strength at the beginning of the procedure is 10 mA, after a few minutes it is increased to 15 mA. Exposure time is 10 - 20 minutes, while it should be borne in mind that the duration of the procedures increases gradually.
Similarly, caripazim is treated with other types of diseases. You should know that with neuritis of the facial nerve , the current strength is not more than 5 mA, and with arachnoiditis of the brain - 1 - 2 mA. It is important to observe the main rule of this physiotherapy: Karipazim is always injected from the positive pole. The duration of therapy is determined by the attending physician, but usually not less than 10 procedures are recommended, with the repetition of the course, after a certain time. Sometimes the treatment process lasts six months.

Caripazim gel
For electrophoresis, you can use the gel caripazim, which, like its analogues caripain and papain, has increased permeability through the skin and a higher concentration of active substances. Attention! At home, the karipazim (gel or solution) is kept packed, at the bottom of the refrigerator at a temperature of about + 4C. The solution is opened immediately before the procedure.
