Christmas goose

If on a festive table in the Catholic countries necessarily in the center of a turkey, then in the Orthodox countries prepare a Christmas goose in the oven . There are many recipes for cooking, each in its own way delicious. Here is the simplest and most affordable option for cooking.

Kutya

Ingredients:

We thoroughly rinse the grain and boil it until it is ready. Wheat cool and season with honey. Poppy and raisins are washed and steamed for three hours. Next, you need to drain the water and wipe the poppy. All add to the mess. In the end, chopped and toasted walnuts put in a total mass.

Uzvar

Ingredients:

Dried fruits thoroughly washed and poured with water. Bring to a boil and add sugar. Next, the knot is cooked on low heat until it is ready.

Pork stew

Ingredients:

Meat washed, cut into pieces and enveloped in flour. Fry it on a strongly heated frying pan until a crust is formed. Separately, cut and fry the onions. Onions are mixed with meat, add cumin and stew until cooked. When the juice begins to evaporate, add water. Serve meat with boiled potatoes.

Decoration of a Christmas table

In addition to delicious dishes, it is important to serve the table beautifully, because this is a special holiday, when the whole family is going to. Christmas table setting has its own characteristics.

The most important color of the Christmas table is white. It is a symbol of divine light. Together with white for serving use red (symbolizing joy) and golden (traditional religious color).

To decorate the Christmas table, use candles that are a symbol of the victory of light over darkness. It is very beautiful, when a lot of light is from candles, this makes the celebration especially cozy and family.

An equally important symbol of celebration is straw or hay. The Virgin Mary gave birth to her son in the stable, and therefore it is customary to decorate the house with hay. To do this, use figures from straw, you can put hay and several New Year balls in a large transparent vase. From the straw make a Christmas wreath. If there is no way to find a real straw, you can use artificial materials that resemble hay in structure.

Often for the decor of the table use figures of angels, rings for napkins with angels, dishes that are specially decorated for the holiday. On the table you can lay a tablecloth with print in the form of angels. Our ancestors on the table were laying towels instead of tablecloth.
